![]() At 170 points it is one of the most expensive tanks in the game, however, whilst it does have the best armour of any tank, its main gun is somewhat weaker than its American and Russian counterparts, making it only their equal in a 1 on 1 fight, however since battles between top tier tanks rarely occur it will most often find itself against lower tier tanks, infantry, and ATGM vehicles, in these scenarios the challenger comes out on top, this is because the 1 point difference between the AP values makes no difference, most opponents will be destroyed in one shot, however its 1 point FAV advantage over the other top tier tanks makes it more survivable. It is worth noting that at 23, it has the highest frontal armour value of any tank in the game, meaning that ATGM's often have very little effect if they hit the front, allowing it to absorb multiple shots and draw fire away from the bulk of your force. Additionally its high value status, makes it an instant target for any sharp opponent with an ATGM. However it's weak side-armour and poor optics leave it vulnerable to flanking attacks. With its high AP and HE values the Challenger 2 excels at destroying other tanks and infantry caught out in the open. Highly armored, accurate both on the move and on the defensive, the Challenger 2 is a recommended unit for any British or Commonwealth strategy. The Challenger 2 is the king of British tanks. It has seen operational service in Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq. Challenger 2 replaced Challenger 1 in service with the British Army and is also used by the Royal Army of Oman. Although the hull and automotive components seem similar, they are of a newer design and build than those of the Challenger 1, and fewer than 5% of components are interchangeable.
